Work Safe, Home Safe
The safety of our team comes first. That’s why we’re committed to safety excellence across our operations—not as a policy, but as a shared responsibility to ensure our people work safe and return home safe every day.

We're Constantly Looking for Opportunities to Prevent Injuries
In 2025, we invested in a series of process and equipment improvements to reduce the risk of injury. Individually, they may seem small. Together, they have the potential to cut safety incidents by a third.
Behavior Based Safety Observation (BSO) Process
Launched in 2025, BSOs are a proactive communication process used to encourage teams to identify safety risks before an incident occurs.
OptaFleet System Adoption
We piloted OptiFleet to monitor forklift operations in real time, tracking driver activity and detecting impacts to keep our warehouse teams safer.
Press Guarding
New guarding on our press equipment prevents operators from accidental contact with moving parts and hazardous zones.
Innovating for Safety
MiTek Tampa creates a new, one-of-a-kind system for injury prevention
At our Tampa, Florida, stamping plant, our team designed the RM500/1000 — a system that holds steel coils in place during press loading, freeing operators to work with both hands safely. It's a clear example of what happens when a culture of safety meets hands-on innovation. The system is now set for global rollout across all MiTek sites in 2026.
Spotlight on Team Wellbeing
Wellbeing at MiTek goes beyond injury prevention. We invest in our team's overall health so everyone can show up ready to do their best work.

Learning & Development
When our people grow, so does MiTek. We invest in professional development across technical skills and leadership — giving our team the resources they need to build lasting careers with us.

Because we want our leaders to succeed in empowering teams across the company, we created a global Leadership Blueprint. It defines seven core competencies every MiTek leader is expected to demonstrate, setting a consistent standard for how we develop, support, and empower teams worldwide.

Learning Days
Each year, we set aside dedicated weeks to skill building and professional growth. These Learning Days feature structured learning sessions, company-wide events, and time to pursue individual learning goals to support every team member's development.
What's new this year?
MITEK UNIVERSITY

In 2025, we launched MiTek University — a centralized hub for learning and development, offering tailored training modules to strengthen skills and support career growth. This new platform enables team members to build capability, leveraging a deep inventory of learning tools as well as curating content for MiTek specific learning paths.
The rollout kicked off with Welcome Week, featuring virtual “campus tours” of the platform, interactive learning path challenges, and giveaways designed to get team members engaged from day one.
Building Strong Leaders
Courageous leadership is essential to shaping the team member experience and drives MiTek's vision to transform communities. In 2025, we launched new programs to develop leaders at every level.
- Frontline Leader Foundations: 87 manufacturing supervisors completed this foundational program, equipping them with core leadership capabilities to drive safety, performance, and engagement on the floor.
- Leading Others Program: A custom program for new people leaders, featuring an immersive three-day in-person session focused on the skills needed to lead with confidence.
Our Commitment to Inclusion and Belonging
MiTek won’t meet the complex challenges the housing industry presents with the same perspectives we have used in the past. Innovation thrives when teams bring different ways of thinking, problem-solving, and lived experience to the table. We value who is doing the building—not just how we build. That means being intentional with mentorship, learning pathways, partnerships, and recruitment, reinforcing that our team members are the connective tissue that define OneMiTek.
Taking a Strategic Approach
Our strategic approach to Inclusion and Belonging centers on creating a culture where every team member is genuinely seen and known.

Connecting Through Shared Experience
Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are team member-led communities that provide support, connection, and a platform for underrepresented voices across MiTek:
- MiTek ACT (Abilities Celebrated Together)
- MiTek BEN (Black Employee Network)
- MiTek HOLA (Hispanic Origin and Latin Associates)
- MiTek Pride (LGBTQIA+)
- MiTek SAM (South Asian Members)
- MiTek Women
ERGs bring the community to life through events, shared resources, and storytelling. To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, MiTek HOLA hosted a 'Stories that Move Us Forward' event featuring Eric Aguilar, Deputy Section Manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. More than 60 team members joined, in person and virtually, to hear about Eric's journey in aerospace.
